About Us
The nationwide Board of Directors and staff of the Hispanic Cancer Health Foundation holds special expertise in nonprofit management and development, scientific and medical communications, event planning, and grants administration. With headquarters located in metropolitan Houston, TX our team is passionate about saving more lives of Hispanics suffering from cancer. Our HCH Foundation team consists of clinical researchers, nurses, physicians, chemists, MD/PhD physician-scientists, post-doctoral fellows, and experienced GCP, CITI-trained internationally Certified Clinical Research Professionals (CCRP®s) that have served as PI's/co-PI's in the fields of cancer medicine, science, healthcare, clinical trials, and biomedical technology, who work together to achieve our mission. We work to foster and maintain collaborations with physician investigators, academic partners, and industry partners. At the HCH Foundation, we value diversity and proactively foster an environment where teamwork is valued and rewarded.
Our Mission is to:
- Provide scientific clinical research training opportunities to underrepresented students and minority scholars interested in making an impact in cancer medicine
- Positively improve the health of Hispanics
- Provide the assistance people need for the problems they face in the battle against cancer
- Improve clinical trial enrollment and survivorship practices amongst Hispanic people’s lives
- Provide mentorship
Our Vision is to:
Transform science education to better support undergraduate and graduate students from Hispanic backgrounds working to make a difference in cancer medicine and research. HCH Foundation's goal is to develop strategic initiatives and partnerships to integrate our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion into scientific research and cancer medicine. The HCH Foundation seeks to provide professional development to improve the experience of medical science for traditionally underrepresented Hispanic and African American research-scholars.

Our Strategy
1. Improve patient experience and help to deliver truly patient-centered care
Hispanic Cancer Health Foundation accomplishes its mission and vision through integrated strategies that include empowering the Hispanic community to participate in the equitable healthcare delivery process, promoting research that advances Hispanic engagement.
2. Develop the careers and enhance the wellbeing of minority/people of color healthcare staff & researchers
Hispanic Cancer Health Foundation provides STEM training/education on clinical research. HCHF empowers students and scholars with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete their medical, clinical and healthcare higher education goals, while providing support services to as many exceptional students and HCHF Health Research Scholars as possible.
3. Enable innovation in health and care within the Hispanic community and the wider health system
Hispanic Cancer Health Foundation accomplishes its mission through integrated strategies that include empowering the Hispanic community to participate equitably in a healthcare delivery process, promoting research that advances Hispanic engagement, and increasing the effectiveness of minority healthcare researchers.
